Default Jade Quarry, Fort Aspenwood, Alliance Battles

Why are these districts always empty?
The same applies for late game missions.

I noticed that the Jade Quarry and Fort Aspenwood missions are not available to PvP only characters, which does not feel quite right to me, given the PvP nature of these 2 missions.

Perhaps if these 2 competitive missions are made available to PvP only characters, then the district might be populated again.

ANET please consider this option.

Its been almost a week since Factions release, and these 2 areas are still empty.
Sad.

Well...

1. People aren't that happy about the changes that have been made to the 12v12 battle system and thus not playing them.

2. Early days, people are still making their way in the game, in time they will get more and more busy.

Yeah, it's taking me forever to get to Jade Quarry. And I loved (owned) that mission since the preview. If I didn't keep detouring myself with all of these quests... so many^^.

I thought Jade Quarry was 8v8.... are the same ppl who didn't like 12v12 boycotting this as well?

Jade Quarry and Fort Aspenwood are both Random 8 vs 8.
I thought the people who liked Random Arenas would love to try this out too.

The problem could be very well that these 2 areas are off limits to PvP only characters.

Sad.

The game hasn't even been out a week. Let people get there. I know a few that aren't even out of the city. Not everyone is rushing through the content.

oh, but then again, you don't get balthazar faction from there, so if you're a full PvPer getting Luxon or Kurzich isnt going to help you out much.

Vasunah Square... *takes a look* omg, I got all 3 swords for that one.

Oh that's the co-op one aye? yeah, Tyrians saved us on that one, and everyone just aggroed the whole stage. Easy for them....

I'm up to Tahnnakai Temple. not many ppl there, I got up to the 8th boss with henchies and then screwed up the agro cuz I kept on changing targets.

Give the game a week or so,...peeps will be there.

I think many people got quickly addicted to the Dragon's Throat/Altrumm Ruins/Zos Chivros challenges and are kickin back just content with where they are for the moment.

Are we sure it is still like that? I doubt there has been anyone in there to test that.

I dont think they would have changed it since the preview event... so yeah i'd still say it's 8v8 as well.

And this was the general state of both missions
Luxons owned Fort Aspenwood,

Kurzichs owned Jade quarry (I made sure to get in there early in the preview, now the mesmer is a force to be reckoned with amongst Jade players^^.)

The 12v12 are alliance missions only, mainly PvP orientated.

I think a big problem wiht this game is that your not-fully-experienced gamers are having issues getting to the next mission areas, seeing that most of the missions don't go to the vicinity of the mission after. I personally have been spending a lot of time at GuildWiki to find out how to get to the missions (that and how to get the Flesh Golem). I'm at the Hatchery mission (Luxon) and when I go in, I'm lucky to find 3-4 other players in there.

Default You are right no one seems to be there

I keep checking in but there is no way I 'm going to sit and twiddle my thumbs for that long to make/be in a team...

Although I hang out on the Euro server, I am still shocked at how few people are in Cavalon (seems like the Lion's Arch for Luxons)...

I was excited to get a lot of map coverage initially last weekend but I have found the game much more boring when you only have henchies to fight with on all these mini quests. :S The fun truely lies in accomplishing these things with other gamers - especially since the farming opportunites seem much less apparant. (I am no pro at that by any means)

I decided to finish my Monk in Tyria while I wait for my CE edition...by this weekend I am sure The Jade Sea will be much more populated.

Heh, shortly after posting this, I was in Ford Aspenwood and suddenly the screen changed - then I realised I had finally entered the mission

Its a bit weird that allies show up as red dots and enemies as blue

Meh I think that's a bit of an overstatement. While it's true that a bit of the Primary mission/quest path is not 'Slam you in the Face' obvious, I could always figure out what needed to be done by reviewing the Quest Log or simply asking in the area that I was last dumped in.

I played the Jade Quarry today it was 8 v 8 Random. My team (Kurz) won. But after that most ppl left and no one could field a team, and since then it's sleepie town. And It's sooooooo annoying. Especially when this is one of the games pitches, earning faction and fighting battles. I mean you just cant play there, and other methods of obtaining faction bore me to tears.

for 250 faction you must circumnavigate the globe to talk to Bill, then wander all the way back to talk to Bob, then go back and talk to Bill.

For 500 faction using a toothpic and a handkerchief you must stop the third reich.

For 1000 faction you must defend a sacred area, this area will be attacked at 3 different points and there will be no human players at this stage of the game, you and your incompetent mentally challenged AI must run around like headless chicken in a techno rambo turkey shoot to complete this mission.
